I have been retired for several years which allows me to spend a lot of my free time volunteering in my Son's schools and within the community. Before I retired full time, I honorably and proudly served our Nation for 28 years in federal government service in both the military, U.S. Air Force, and the federal GS civilian workforce. During those 28 years I have served in leadership, management and supervisory positions as an NCOIC in uniform, as-well-as, a supervisor and manager in my federal civil service career. During my federal civil service, two of the accomplishments I am truly proud of is being selected to serve in the Air Force Engineering and Technical Services (AFETS) program supporting Combat Air Forces (CAF) and to have served as an American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) union steward who was responsible in a large government directorate for organizing new members, enforcing the collective bargaining agreement (CBA), investigating complaints and representing the workforce in grievance procedures, disciplinary actions and Weingarten meetings all while protecting worker rights.

I have been married for 40 years. We have seven children, three with college degrees, three with high school diplomas and the youngest is an eight-year-old student. As for our oldest Son, he has just started his twenty-sixth year, all as an aircrew member, serving our nation in the United States Air Force.

No matter what role I responsibly fulfill, I have always stood and spoke up for justice and equality for all. No matter the tribulation, I never walked or ran away from what is right in life. One thing that you could always be assured of is that I will always afford anyone and everyone, no matter if you are a child, teenager or an adult, the time to listen to your issues and concerns and do whatever I can to support and remedy what matters to you.

For the past few years and do so till this day, I have advocated for the safety, education and well-being of our students, educators, and KISD staff. My commitment and dedication to ensure the best for KISD and the KISD stakeholders did not just start the day I turned in my application for Killeen ISD School Board Trustee Place 5.
